The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s is the MECCA of local rugby 7's competitions,
earning its title as the "World's Biggest Seven's Carnival." This rugby
extravaganza had its roots dating back to 1976 when 8 teams passionately
competed for a grand prize of five cartons of Fiji Bitter. The 47th Fiji Bitter
Marist Seven's showcased an impressive total prize pool of $52K, featuring
44 men's teams, 12 women's teams, and 18 U18-21 teams.This tournament has consistently served as a stepping stone for budding
rugby talents, providing them with opportunities to represent Fiji on the
international stage and gain recognition from prestigious rugby clubs worldwide.
Notably, it played a pivotal role in introducing women's rugby to Fiji.This unwavering commitment to growth and inclusivity has not only
enriched the sporting landscape but also contributed significantly to sports
